I'm obsessed with quite a few songs but to keep my post short I will give just one. Walking on Air by Kerli. It kind of reminds me of myself as a little kid. "A creepy little girl with her creepy little face, saying funny things that you've never heard."

I heart Kerli. :) Great song, love the atmosphere.

Yes I definitely agree about the atmosphere. And people often compare her to Lady GaGa because they have a similar look, but in my opinion Kerli is much more creative with her songs :)

I checked her out, and I liked her. :)

The look in your eyes pierces through me
Like the light in the room
And the way your walk forces me
To stare at you
Your scent marks
The road that you've gone
It says "the most beautiful of beautiful was here"
And your smile is contagious

I would so much like to be
The woman to whom you come home at night
Would want so much to be in your arms
There is so
Much between us, betweens us there's a sea
And I'm too
Too shy to say it

I see the smallest details
Your mood in your face
And I don't know if you know
That you speak with your hands
I would go with you
Wherever you'd want to go
Because miracles happen
When you wink

The time I spend with you
Is the highlight of my day
You stay within me
A dream that doesn't come true
But you're here
Here in my life
And I don't want to lose you
And I can't confess to you

i am very interested in the song "big man on mulberry street" by billy joel at the moment.
i found only one youtube example of the song which did not have sexual themes or garbage video accompanying it. the video is a static picture and i think that the song should be listened to without visual accompaniment.

i know this is "pop" music (there is another thread where everyone claims "pop" music is the antithesis of "aspieness"), but i very much like this song because it is so much like what i am not, and yet it is so much also like what i am. a strange bitter sweet combination. i see genius in this composition.

i will post the lyrics under the video, and it would be good if you could just read the lyrics while listening to the song and not watching the video.

Why can't I lay low
Why can't I say what I mean
Why don't I stay home
And get myself into some boring routine

Why can't I calm down
Why is it always a fight
I can't get unwound
Why do I throw myself into the night

I'm on the outside
I don't fit into the groove
Now I ain't a bad guy
So tell me what am I trying to prove

Why can't I cool out
Why don't I button my lip
Why do I lash out
Why is it I always shoot from the hip

I cruise from Houston to canal street
A misfit and a rebel
I see the winos talking to themselves
And I can understand
Why is it every time I go out
I always seem to get in trouble
I guess I made an impression on somebody
North of Hester and south of Grand

And so in my small way
I'm a big man on Mulberry street
I don't mean all day
Only at night when I'm light on my feet

What else have I got
That I'd be trying to hide
Maybe a blind spot
I haven't seen from the sensitive side

But you know in my own heart
I'm a big man on Mulberry street
I play the whole part
I leave a big tip with every receipt

I'm so romantic
I'm such a passionate man
Sometimes I panic
What if nobody finds out who I am
