^ One of the first concerts I attended as a nipper, at the Royal Festival Hall - a treat from my school.
We were seated where the choir would normally stand - at the back and close to the orchestra.

The re-entrance of Purcell's theme at the end is still one of the most exciting orchestral moments; it thrilled me then and still does now. From about 14:06 in the video.
There's something about orchestral brass... :lol:

That’s awesome!

I really enjoyed it. It’s the first time I ever listened to it. When I was in third grade, a teacher played Peter and the Wolf on a CD or cassette, but we didn’t go to concerts because the area was really rural and poor. She was a fantastic teacher who I’ve never forgotten.
