The song on its own doesn't bring me to tears but when played over that certain scene of the film it really sets me off. Especially when the alien woman's brother is getting shot on that helicopter and he falls off it in slow motion and when you can see the scientists and navi are clearly distressed and you can hear the screams and stuff.

the ravel number is otherwise known as "Pavane for a dead princess."
the "Black Orpheus/Orpheu Negro" number is AKA "Morning of Carnaval."
