Not staying up on it quite as tight these days though - dnb's starting to re-crisp so that's where my ears have gone back.

Anna, ever hear of FaltyDL? If not you should check him, he's from over here but he rolls deep.

yep yep, I'm aware of FaltyDL. I haven't been keeping up with this scene as of late either... only just discovered I had Vexd's Cloud Seed in my iTunes and forgot to check it out :o it's pretty awesome.

it makes me think of space colonies.

Dubstep is a genre of electronic music which comes from 2-Step Garage. Recently it has been hijacked and turned into stupid bass noises. It SHOULD sound something like this:

Dubstepping is the act of taking old raggae vinyls, numbering them 1 to 10, and laying them out on the ground for hop-scotch. Hence the term 'dubstep'.

I was listening to this on my way back from Buffalo, NY yesterday. For anyone who likes this stuff a bit dark/ambient and hasn't heard the Kryptic Minds 'Can't Sleep' LP I highly recommend it. One of those few cds I actually loop in my car stereo a few times and not have it be a problem:

Also, I see this thread is Kito-less. I'll fix that :).
