Love the sopranos with the chorale theme at the start, floating above the busy comings and goings of a fleeting humankind rushing around.
That's such a lovely effect, and Bach uses it often.

Dumb as a brick mode: I didn't know the CC (Closed Captions) button on the video could provide a running translation - or at least it does for this one.

^ I think there’s a translation for some of them. Maybe the more recent or popular ones?

I’ve really enjoyed all of the cantatas I’ve listened to, but I especially liked the meaning behind this particular one. Most often, I listen to them at least twice - once for meaning, if there’s a translation, and once just to appreciate the music and overall effect. I still feel like a bit of a newb, though. :lol:

I just watched the ballet The Dream on a streaming service. I enjoyed it, but I would’ve been obsessed with it when I was a teenager and younger.
