My boyfriend got me a great birthday gift and fed my guitar obsession. The obsession took over and well...I have not been on these boards as much.
Either way he got me an aluminum/wood hybrid neck.
He got me an American Made Vaccaro Groove Jet!

It looks weird, but I love it!

oh...ok. I was thinking that a completely aluminum neck would be too subject to going out of tune (because of it's heating up and cooling off) Looks nice.

Actually completely aluminum necks are known to be more stable than wood and less temp sensitive. They are actually LESS sensitive to going out of tune. The aluminum in this guitar actually has that effect, most of the neck in this guitar is aluminum, its only a shell thats wood, and that is so the feel is less "cold" and more smooth.
