I don't know if this is the right place to post this. If it isn't, feel free to move it. I have an account on FictionPress, which is the sister site of Fanfiction.net. I'm TRYING to upload a chapter of a story I'm making called Stargazer but FOR SOME STRANGE REASON, the document manager REFUSES TO UPLOAD IT!! ! It keeps telling me that even though it ends with ".txt", it's not in the right format. COME ON!! ! I ALWAYS write my stories on the notepad program and they've been able to upload just fine! I even sent an e-mail to the site regarding the issue (I'm not sure if I'll get a reply though). Besides, all the other chapters of Stargazer were able to be uploaded without any problems!

At first I thought it was because of the little squiggles on the Spanish sentences I used, so I kinda cut them out. Tried uploading it again, didn't work. Then I decided to get rid of the footnotes. Tried uploading it again, DIDN'T WORK. This has been going on for a day now!

For those who have an account on FictionPress, can anyone help me out??? >_<

footnotes? Well, that's a possibility. I'd check with their support people. Also, it's possible to put .txt sometimes at the end of the filename, but still not have it save as text format. Use 'Save as', then pick plain text, rtf, or whatever they want. Sometimes some sites will want them zipped.

See if you can send them an email. Explain the situation, and see what they say. Good luck.
