Just as a note, I'd appreciate it if nobody came into my shoutbox talking about AS, anything else is still generally welcome. I don't really like spreading the word unneccesarily, especially with it still being only a (strong) suspect. I'd also like to note I get slightly creeped out by friend requests from strangers out of nowhere.
I hope I didn't make myself sound too harsh.

Thanks for the link. I didn't know about last.fm, even though I'm a musician (by a loose definition). I'm doing some recording in a few days. I can't wait make an account and upload my new songs!

I've tried last.fm. Didn't really like it, since it didn't recognise almost 1/2 of my music.

I would like my Rhythmbox (music player) to upload statistics to both last.fm and the upcoming libre.fm sites. Libre.fm because I like music that fits the Free Culture - freedomdefined.org definition. 4 freedoms but for free art.

The service is much better than it was in 2006, and now recognises all my music. There was no problem with my tags, I've always had my music correctly tagged.

I don't have an account registered, but I searched my favorite band (sonata arctica) and it showed bands similar to them that I've never heard of that I will now obsess over (kamelot)

for that, I thank you good sir (or ma'am) for opening my eyes to more music.

I find it much easier to use - the free version has some adverts but they're not too annoying, they're over pretty quickly.
