I think it's a big misunderstanding when people says, that people with ASD's don't have emotions.
I do think that my emotions are different, and might also be stonger than others.

These kind of videoes touches me deeply, however it IS true that I'm not able to express what I feel, but I can tell that it's stong.
And I might not feel the right emotions in social situations (Mostly I'm so uncomfortable that I don't really have much feelings other than that.)
What about you?

There are some things that obviously did affect me but I do not understand the how or why of it.
Especially did not understand the manifestation of that emotion.

This I do not get
Have been a couple times watching steam train videos, listening to sound recordings of them, or old or future airplane videos, an emotional reaction arose which ended up presenting as breaking into crying.

Huh :?:

oh, I get that too! I cried the first time I saw Egyptian hieroglyphics. I burst into tears at the first picture of Mont St. Michaels and had towering emotions at pictures of Merida and Chichén Itzá's wells. The first time I saw "The Persistance of Memory" by Dali I felt someone had punched me in the stomach and I got so ill I thew up!. (I have always thought that Dali would have appreciated that reaction  )

I thought 'puff the magic dragon' was a kid's song, since I was a kid when it came out. I didn't know it 'was about drugs' until later.

I don't think it's about drugs.

Okay, I'm not mad at anyone here.
What is it with people who have this all-consuming need to turn things into what they are not :?:
Only thing I can figure, it must meet some kind of need in their life, so, I guess it's a pathetic attempt to try to give their worthless selves some illusion of value.
