what do you do when your clarenets messed up and you have a concert the next day. your parents are away, your brother is playing a concert himself and you aren't close enough to walk.

What's wrong with your clarinet? I keep a set of screws in my case along with a jeweller's screwdriver to make simple repairs. But if it's something like a cracked mouthpiece then that's rougher.

When you say you aren't close enough to walk, where do you need to get to?

Talk to your director and ask for their assistance in fixing it; there are a number of temporary ways to fix a loose pad, but it has been about ten years since I've done anything but percussion repair. I don't trust my memory for something I only did occasionally/part time that long ago.
