Pumpkin Pie!

I made my first ever pumpkin pie! Yay! It didn't come out too bad, either! And I made the crust myself too! I think maybe I should have put more spices in it.. I only used a little more than the recipe said, and I like to use a lot. I made some really awesome gingersnap cookies yesterday!
Lol, well I figured that baking is like art.. maybe not winter baking quite so much as in the summer when I was making pretty cakes with frosting roses and stuff, but it still seemed like it best fit the "Art, Writing, and Music" category. Maybe I need to look for winter-y-er ways of making decorative foods. Well, I've been getting the house together with thermal curtains and stuff so that hopefully the house won't leak quite so much heat, so I've been working on decorative non-foods lately, too.

Yea, um, just felt the need to share that.

(Hmm, maybe all my "Um"s are a bad habit.. I don't do it nearly as badly as my mother does, though. So it's not my fault! I put it in when I'm not completely sure what to say usually, and that's how it's supposed to be used, I think.)

That's what I forgot to do! Should start keeping a camera in the kitchen.. I think the last one I took a picture of was my birthday cake. That was in July, though..

Sounds awesome. Next step - try buttermilk pie as well, if you like flan or anything of that nature its to die for .

I tend to alternate between stews, foreign cuisines, and confectioneries. Last confectionery project I had was making an authentic red velvet cake from scratch, incredibly good - best served warm though.
