What do you think of this black metal project?

Burzum is a BM project started by Varg Vikernes, and it has been hailed as the greatest BM project, maybe "band" of all time! Varg has been released from jail just suddenly, and he will give out a new album and a book too, so look forward to it! I like several songs from Burzum, including these;

Complete s**t. Especially considering V.Vikernes is a Neo Nazi who is jailed for killing Euronymus, and is now making neo-nazi keyboard music.

As far as black metal is concerned, I actually like Gorgoroth, Emperor, and Thorrshammer better.

he was released this summer IIRC, so served 16/21 years.

Apparently he was driving around norway with an assault rifle and a fake passport early on in the sentance - they must be pretty relaxed about prisoner security up there!

on the bright side at least he managed not to burn anything! :lol:

First two albums - OK, nothing too special.
Hvis lyset tar oss and Filosofem - very good; this is what I'll remember Burzum for
Later keyboard stuff - lame (more or less)

I'll still listen to his new album now that he's out of prison.

I love Burzum. I have all of the albums and have read all of Varg's writings (at least the ones I could find English translations for). I will be buying his new album as well as his book when they are released.
