There was a cartoon in the newspaper the other day - "Brevity" - which showed a cleaning woman at a blackboard covered with math. The caption read "Because she'd always had a crush on the handsome but stupid professor, sometimes at night she'd fix some of his more obvious computational errors."

Wow. One of us could write an entire novel with from that one!

funny comic, but I honestly don't get the part where...

A novel? Well, the woman's back story, how she came to be a cleaning woman with such a mathematical mind, and - like many writers - how to get her out of there. Perhaps discovery by an older woman who walked her same road? Not to mention discovering that the prof she had a crush on was an idiot, while the quiet guy in the back row....

Novelists think that way.

It's too early in the am to try to transliterate the Japanese at the bottom, if that's what's required. However, I'll try again after school.

Do you get Agnes in the funnies? Sometimes she's funny, sometimes irritating, and sometimes painfully close to home.

actually, I'm afraid I don't get Agnes. The highlights of my comic readings are Get Fuzzy, The Boondocks, Zits, Calvin and Hobbes, and Baby Blues ^____^
