Iv'e recently started listening to jazz music, it's pretty good.
Post any good audio/video of some good jazz music for everyone to see.

Covered a lot of the essential classics.

But what about some of the modern day guys, the young kids as it were =P. Any one got any suggestions? So easy to jump right to the standards of yester-year, but there are some great bands and people out there performing.

Time for me to say thanks for this thread, even since it has popped up I have spend the nights listening to Jazz!
Jazz is awesome music but to me its extremely difficult to find the EXACT kind of Jazz I like. Most of the above examples is too slow and to old for me

Im more into the groove kind of Jazz and I have just about learned thats the name of it
I have always loved Jazz but couldnt even point out it was actually callled jazz...
* have "zero" knowledge about music*

Because there is so incredible many variations within the jazz genre itself!!

I love Jazz funk, its way groovy! But still I like far from all of it. I cant say Im a great fan of Jamiroquai and Earth wind and fire for example....
So,my lifesaver YouTube have helped me a lot to track down the kind of jazz i like these days
I have found far from everything but at least I can share a couple of examples of what Im talking about
