I would like to share some videos of one of my personal heroes. There are many musicians out there and I'm sure some of them might be aspies, but this man, Travis Meeks, from Days of the New admits he has it, and that gave me an inspiration to do my own thing play my own music.

"Why I’m telling you this is because that’s where this music comes from, that’s where my art comes from. You’re talking to a miracle; I am a miracle. I’m not halfway there, you know, dut-dut-dut-dut-da, drink a beer, hang out with my buddies, smoke a joint and get together with the band, wanna be a rock star; no. I am a very troubled individual who has been handed these obstacles in life, and overcome my fears to be honest with myself, so I can be honest with you. That’s not exploitation, it’s liberation. "

Brillant... and without futher adue I present Travis Meeks....

I did not know that Travis Meeks has Asperger's. That really seems to explain alot. The second album is a masterpiece.

The Melodies on Days' self titled debut album are incredible, and their next album showed Travis(after he had fired the other members of the band and began using session musicians, one of them being future Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger) experimenting with electronica. Their next album will be the first "NEW" album I've bought in a long time. Travis Meeks' songwriting ability facilitates that. Unfortunately he was featured on an episode of A&E's Intervention for his crystal meth and speed addictions a few years ago, but he has since cleaned up and bounced back from it. From reading interviews, it seems like he has overcome the "bad" aspects of Asperger's such as sometimes reclusive behavior, and is now more sociable with fans. Great role model for Aspergian musicians.
