anyone here in to stop motion animation?
I am a beginner and I am really looking for some pointers

here is a crude example of my work...this was a half-arsed attemped I made to kill time while working behiund the bar at my venue...it is not meant to be perfect...critiques not necc..I know it ends abruptly..I made it in less than an hour...

um...howyousay..

i have Pinnacle Studio Ultimate on my laptop and also I have a nice digital cameral Cannon XS20IS

I wish there was a way that I could connect my camera to my laptop and take the photos so that they would appear directly on the screen as I take them...

I can tak pics with my webcam, but that is a bit limiting...

PLS,

Do you watch Robot Chicken? That is stop-motion animation at its best.

I think you need to take more photo's with smaller movements, so you'll get more frames per second.
That way the end result will be more fluently and easier to watch.
