Mine has been Metallica ever since the mid 80's. Yeah, I'm pretty old :) There are some other groups that are really good, but "Master of Puppets" and "Ride the Lightning" I consider to be basically perfect albums.

I'm not a metal fan but my 2 favourites are, if they can be considered metal, Nightwish and Bullet For My Valentine

What a coincidence. Mine is Metellica, too! 8)

Sorry about my spelling.

Metallica, almost unanimously. Ok then, old Metallica, middle Metallica (i.e. Load, Reload, S&M), or most recent Metallica?

Personally, love the old Metallica, like lots of middle, don't care for anything since S&M.

Well, the Cliff albums are still the best. Lots of great stuff in the Burton years. Justice and the Black Album are awesome, and I can easily listen to them both beginning to end. Some great tunes on Load and ReLoad, but also some just okay stuff. St. Anger was kind of a let down and I haven't listened to anything from it in awhile. And the new album is a great mix of the old and new styles and I absolutely love it.

Master of Puppets, however, is the greatest metal album ever created. =]

Old Metallica was awesome. Slayer was brilliant.

I've turned more to that "core" genre but August Burns Red will always be a favorite.

Something about that unpredictability and raw emotions is cool. They don't seem to hold anything back.

Alot of people don't consider that music but I do.

I carry that Zippo in my pocket everywhere. (Reinventing The Steel is also my favorite Pantera album)

As for Metallica... Kill 'Em All is definitely the best of their albums.
