Mine would have to be "Drop the World" by Lil' Wane and Eminem. I've always liked Eminem and have been able to relate to his songs more than those of anyone but this has to be my absoulte favorite. When people ask what singer I like and find out who it is they are like, "OMG! He's bad!" or "He says some pretty nasty things" I'm like that's why I like him so much. Eminem says it like it is and extactaly what is on his mind and dosen't sugar coat it because he's afraid of offending someone. People are always giving me trouble about having AS or simply being myself. Now people are harassing me and stalking me about what I want to do with my life because I'm not going the route they think I should. One says I am extremly un observant. Whatever, b***h. Whenever I get upset or someone is mean to me, I just put "Drop the World" on and it reminds me that what they say dosen't matter and i can do ANYTHING I put my mind too and that someday they will have to eat their words.

I went though an Eminem stage at one point in my life, around 13 years old. Then I discovered a group called Joy Division, and it opened my musical range.
My current favorite song is, well I have many, but my all time favorite is "Little Girls" by Oingo Boingo.

As it happens, I'm currently going through a little dilemma with regards to that very question! See, I've always said without a doubt that it would have to be "Shine On, You Crazy Diamond" (Pink Floyd, of course!) - and I'm talking about the ENTIRE, 28 minute version, both halves off the album brought together to be how it was meant to be heard!

But just recently, I found myself listening to "Echoes" - and although it was by no means the first time I'd heard the track, I realized that it's actually a masterpiece to rival SOYCD! Only I'd never thought of it as being a potential all-time favourite!

Dilemma! :o

And then my little sister took me into town to introduce me to Guitar Hero, and it had the insolence to tell me when I pressed Go:

"Twenty minute freeform jazz odysseys are NOT O.K.!"

I think I'll have to agree with you there Aietra! Echoes for me too (the live version in Pompeii preferably). All my other favourite songs change so often and Echoes just keeps staying where it is.

I enjoy so many songs, it's difficult to pick a favorite, so I'll give you a Top 3:

1. "She'd Rather Be With The DJ" - Hardnox
2. "La Di Da" - Baracuda
3. "Cinderella" - Miss Papaya

The lyrics are okay, but I really like the way they sound.

"Come Together" by The Beatles. It made me want to become a musician. And I did.
I'd never heard anything like it before, nor since. Even in The Beatles' catalogue there's nothing else like it. And the drum sound on that record that Geoff Emerick was able to achieve is like no other recorded drums have ever sounded, before or since. Unreal.

Hard to say, possibly Stevie Wonder's "Yester-me, yester-you, yesterday".

i think this man is the most talented person in recorded history as far as music is concerned.
it is a pity it is not high sound quality since it was recorded in the 1960's, but if you can imagine the exact same notes in today's quality....well i am not able to say any more.

please do not just watch the still pictures but close your eyes and think of the reality of the music.
i had to use youtube to get these songs here and they just have a still shot.
just fire them up and close your eyes and imagine the talent needed to think of composing these songs. it is like it is composed in the clouds far above the surface of the earth.

this is about the most talented music i have ever heard.
this is the happiest song i ever heard and it is done with timeless genius.

here is the most exciting song i ever heard.
it is about space travel with an accelerated genius. i would like to know what mozart would have thought if he could have heard this.

this is the song that i most identify with in a lyrical sense.

If you search for tenderness
it isn't hard to find.
You can have the love you need to live.
But if you look for truthfulness
You might just as well be blind.
It always seems to be so hard to give.

Honesty is such a lonely word.
Everyone is so untrue.
Honesty is hardly ever heard.
And mostly what I need from you.

I can always find someone
to say they sympathize.
If I wear my heart out on my sleeve.
But I don't want some pretty face
to tell me pretty lies.
All I want is someone to believe.

Honesty is such a lonely word.
Everyone is so untrue.
Honesty is hardly ever heard.
And mostly what I need from you.

I can find a lover.
I can find a friend.
I can have security until the bitter end.
Anyone can comfort me
with promises again.
I know, I know.

When I'm deep inside of me
don't be too concerned.
I won't as for nothin' while I'm gone.
But when I want sincerity
tell me where else can I turn.
Because you're the one I depend upon.

Honesty is such a lonely word.
Everyone is so untrue.
Honesty is hardly ever heard.
And mostly what I need from you

Rudie can't fail - The Clash

Sing, Michael, sing
On the route of the 19 Bus!

We hear them... sayin'
How you get a rude and a-reckless?
Don't you be so crude and a feckless
You been drinking brew for breakfast
Rudie can't fail, no, nooo

We reply
I know that my life make you nervous
But I tell you that I can't live in service
Like the doctor who was born for a purpose***
Rudie can't fail

Okay, I went to the market to realise my soul
Cos what I need I just don’t have, oh no
First they cursed then they pressed me ‘till I hurt
They say Rudie can’t fail

Woah, first you must cure your temper
Then you find a job in a paper
You need someone for a saviour
Rudie can't fail, oh no

We reply
Now we get a rude and a reckless
We been seen lookin' cool an' a speckless
We been drinking brew for breakfast
Rudie can't fail oh, no, no

I went to the market to realise my soul
Cos what I need I just don’t have – ah!
First they cursed then they pressed me ‘till I hurt
Rudie can’t fail

Okay! okay
So where you wanna go today?
Hey boss man! Hup-yeah
You're looking pretty smart
In your chicken skin suit
With your chicken skin too!

You think you're pretty hot
In the pork pie hard
In your pork pie hat
Look out, look out...
Sky juice is a topper brew!
But...Rudie can't fail
Oh yeah
Rudie can’t fail
Yeah, yeah
Rudie can’t fail
Bring it back, bring it back, bring it back
Yeah, Rudie can’t fail
Yeah Rudie can’t fail
Rudie can’t fail
Yeah-hey-hey-hey-hey
Rudie can’t fail
Yeah-hey-hey-hey-hey
Rudie can’t fail
Rudie can’t fail
Rudie can’t fail
Rudie can’t fail
Sippin' on juice!...Only!
