I just bought this album today. It's really bizarre and different than the other Tool albums. I can tell that it is something that will "grow on me" because I like it although it is not immediately catchy. Some songs are rockish but overall it is rather trance-like (not meaning like trance music) -- hypnotic. Music to listen to in the dark. Tool has pushed the music envelope again, but I think only people who are already Tool fans are going to give this album a chance . . . not much radio-friendly material here. Most of the songs are over 7 minutes.

Anyone else have this album? What do you think of it?

Yeah, I have listened to the album and loved it. As a Tool fan I am sure to be listening to it every day for the week or so. My sister and I went to the CD store at midnight to get 10 000 Days.

I've heard a couple of songs off the new Tool album on a local radio station that plays metal and punk. It didn't sound like the Tool from yesteryear, something like a chant over trance-like music. It's pretty good, actually.

The new tool album is pretty good. I cant really pick out a standout track but I'm sure the new album I will grow to love and treat it like gold just like all my other tool CD's. I have read other comments(from tool fans) on another forum I lurk at and they say that they dont like 10,000 days.
I dont know why though, It may have something to do with thier expectations :? .

What is with those beer goggle looking things on the cover of the album?. There is a note on the insert and it says that you look through the goggles at the art inside the insert, but all I see is blurry stuff. 8O

Yep, I've got the album and I like it but it needs a few more listens.. :P Then I'll probably be listening to it non-stop.
