I'm okay with SOAD, I'm much more of a fan of serj tankian (the lead singer of SOAD, for those unaware)'s solo project, especially his work with the APO.

It isn't too much different from soad, except for that it is. I guess it's a bit more lyrically coherent (even though it's questionable weather or not soad is lyrically coherent, or if they even intend to be  )

Yes, SOAD is awesome, hopefully they get back together. Serj's voice is amazing and I love his solo work.

Yeah, I feel Serj's solo music handles the "serious" (i,e, political) issues in a far more visceral, yet subtle, way (i,e Empty Walls) than System's hallucinogen soaked bash fests (Doesn't demean from SOAD though because they were a brilliant band in their own way).

Anyway, I feel like such a tool for thinking about the music in that way, it's meant to be listened to not critiqued and judged :( .

I love SOAD too :D They're the main band I listen to.

I saw a video of Shavo on stage with Daron and John in a Scars On Broadway show recently. I'm really hoping they'll start recording together again soon.
