This is the summary from my query letter. Been working on this novel for about 3 years, writing and revising it, and now currently trying to find an interested book agent:

"Apocalypse Game" takes place in the one hundred twenty fifth incarnation of the planet earth, which is divided into twenty seven regions, each under it's own government but all under one world government and one language. Region eight is a region where women are given inferior education, little job opprotunities, and trained to be house wives. Enter eighteen year old Karaka Slater, whose rebellious attitude lands her frequently in detention and makes her very unpopular. She's also what's known as a Special, someone who has powers far beyond normal people. Her plan after graduation is to leave home and join a Mercenary group, a semi legal group that will do almost any job for the right price, a job that has never had a position for females. Karaka is able to convince a mercenary group, the Mahados, to let her join. This starts off a long journey that began as a means to break the status quo but ends up becoming a battle against the writer of the world who wants to destroy the world once more.
