Okay, so you may have read my couple posts talking about my aspiration for acting in movies. I decided to set my mind on screenwriting for movies instead. It still has that appealing, slim prospect of fame and fortune, and I think it will be a much more fun thing to do than the acting part. Plus, I hear that many writers (granted, the experienced, famous or semi-famous ones) are very successful and happy with their work. The drive and desire for success I think is actually a part of who I am. What does everyone else think?

Oh. On a sidenote, I DO already have two books on the subject.

People know if they want to be a writer. You'll never see an artist forcing themselves to draw or a musician forcing themselves to create music. They do it because it's a desire they have. In other words you either know if you want to write or not. If your only reason for writing is "fame and fortune" and "I want to see my book on the shelf" then that's not the reason to write.

In my own personal life I have been working on a story. I'm not going to call it a book or a novel because it's not that. I'm telling a story. I spent about a year developing the characters, locations, factions, concept, themes, religions, you name it. I fleshed out this entire world (and still have a ways to go) before I even wrote the story. And you know what? I REALLY enjoy it! Will it be successful? I hope so, but I'm writing it because I want to tell a really good story. :)
