I acquired Fantagraphics' first volume of their complete collection of the American DENNIS THE MENACE comics panel , starting in 1951 8O 8) , by Hank Ketcham !

I haven't seen that show sense Nickelodeon quit showing it when I was a kid. I should look for it. I've seen a couple eps of the cartoon series years ago & it was NOT the same

Right on! I love that series. I remember reading the comic scripts in the Sunday paper, when I was a kid.:D

...Cock , are you referring to the British , entirely different , comic entitled DENNIS THE ENACE that started at essentially the same time as the American one ?
Toonopedia www.toonopedia.com will give you the details , in their alphabetical listings .
I'm aware of the UK one , nut I've only seen thhe briefest bits of it .
That is why , however , I said " American " , etctera , to distinguish...!
A child actor (then :wink: ) called Jay North played Dennis in a Fifties US TV series that I assume Nick was referring too , later , the late Walter Mattthau played Mr. Wilson in a feature movie of the American one .

...Yeah , I see that British Dennis appeared in THE BEANO , which , along with THE DANDY , I've heard of , but I don't think I've ever even seen 8O , ! , let alone even opened 8O , a physical copy of , ever :roll: !
