I was watching TV and flicked over to watch the contest and saw the following band perform:

And I thought to myself, "Gee, The Rolling Stones have really gotten over the hill." Well, apart from Keith Richards, he hasn't changed a bit.

It's Finland's first win apparently. Congrats.

I knew Abba had been around for a long time...

But at least the blonde one's still got good hair. She was always the cutest.

i liked that band from finland iliked their music....
i would have liked many of the other entires aswell if they were singing in tune... which i noticed alot werent, including the girls form the UK entry. the video i saw of uk song before the contest was alot nicer to listen to

i wish the organisers would alos set it up so that one may not vote for either his own country or his neighbour. im gettin fed up of the tactical voting and voting for your neighbour, even if their song is not good!

shame malta got a point... i wanted them to get NIL... so thast it would take the focus off the uk for getting NIL in 2oo3... oh well try next year!!

... why do i get the feeling that next year theres going to be more rock and metal entries?? lol

I liked the Finnish entry the best and after that the Lithuanian ("We are the winners... of Euro-vision!"). The British, Irish, French and Spanish entries were utterly miserable, with most of the rest being dull Eurovision pap.

I heard about this from someone I know in Europe. I've heard a few of their songs on the Heavy Metal Stream I listen to occasionally.

My opinion was that they where good, but not 'great'. They do however have fantastic costumes. And I did a quick look on YouTube and they have some good videos.

But it's always nice to see Heavy Metal bands getting this kind of prestige.

But yeah, Finland is kind of the Death Metal center of the world. Nice to see that they went with it :P

(The band by the way is 'Lordi'. I think that it might be the lead singers name as well.)

Because it was stupid. And it was funny for them to be so blatant about it. The entire song was a joke. :)
