The version of Ride Into the Sun by The Velvet Underground without lyrics because it was my ringtone when I got the call at 5 in the morning that my grandpa passed. It's a really nice and happy sounding song but it's just so hard to listen to, even right now. :( A lot of stuff from Slowdive really makes me sad too but their songs are too beautiful to stop listening to.

"Baker Street" always makes me sad; I can't stand to hear it.

None.

Some songs do make my cry, but not because of sadness.

I think it's called My Immortal, sang by... you know... those guys.

But anyhow, when it first came to the radio, every time I'd hear it, I'd be close to tears. It made me think of how I'd feel if I ever lost my wife.

Burn by The Cure used to make me cry sometimes, late at night when I was alone and depressed. But I got over that stage of my life several years ago, now.

If you're sensitive, though, I don't recommend listing to it when you're alone at night.

No songs regularly make me cry, although the day Ronnie James Dio died I listened to every single song I had with him on vocals as loud as I could, and the climax of Stargazer, specifically the line "I'm going home" made me cry. Making me tear up now thinking about it.

As for sad songs, this is definitely one.

"i'm walking on sunshine" is what people may say when they jump out from a height that they will not survive the fall from.

"and don't it feel good" is what they may say if they certainly want to end their lives and they see the end (ground) coming toward them with glee.

that is extremely sad if it happened ever and i suspect it has happened sometime in history.

I really doubt that's happened, as the mental state that would drive someone to end their life doesn't really involve happiness, in anything. It's not like suicides are like this:

The song Cat's in the Cradle gets me every freaking time. It's like my life story.

Hehe, I also have some Velvet Underground operant conditioning. My ex crashed my car (and me in the passenger seat into the front bumper of a huge SUV) to 'Venus in Furs.' it was so surreal it almost felt staged. If that song comes on now while I'm driving I change it immediately.

As for songs that make me cry, Rufus Wainwright's take on Leonard Cohen's 'Hallelujah' has been known to jerk a tear or two from my eye.
