ever felt like you were lost in translation with a song that you swear must mean something more than whatever anyone else has said or whether if anyone said anything?
well, just to get people started, i feel like Avril Lavigne's How Does It Feel is pretty basic but isn't so much feeling lost or in love or questioning life as it more specifically is kind of still a mystery...like, how can you care for somebody so much when you don't know them or you see right through them? actually that does pretty much specify the theme of the song. I know Tori Amos' music is kind of challenging for your brain to even follow with consciouness....yes perhaps i'm bragging but whatev. point is, for example, if you go on any website including her stuff and hear her song 'winter,' it has so much to say to so many different people. there's more beauty the more a writer writes with such poetry even if it seems more than a tad complex.

anyway, what would you say for a song you don't understand...but are enchanted and enthralled by?

i misinterpret lyrics all the time, if that's the same thing...

more often than not in Oasis songs. which usually seem to relate to something in my life, whether interpreted correctly or not...

Music should not be didactic or expressive. Therefore my favourite song, if I had one, would be meaningless.
