Could anybody recommend some good sites for buying books in French besides Amazon.fr? I'm looking for something and can't seem to find it for anything less then 60 € and I'd like to see if I have other options first...

Try here:

http://www.addall.com/

It will search over a dozen online booksellers and give you back a listing, ordered by price from lowest to highest. It also calculates and adds in the shipping *before* it tells you the price so you can know whether that $1 book is really cheaper than that $2 book or whether it's more expensive because of more shipping.

It might not search the bookstores where your book is, but I've gotten Spanish-langauge books through addall so there is a chance.

Hope this is helpful!

Ebay's also pretty good- I got Un sac de billes and L'etranger from there. What books are you reading?

I have hundred of books to sell, most of them novels.
But I don't know if the cost of the shipping would be worth the effort to send them overseas.

Sparrowrose - Thank you for the link - they didn't have it but the site will be very useful for other future searches!

Bubbles137 He he, amazon and ebay were the first places I've checked. I also tried Allibris, AbeBooks, The Book Depository and a few others. :(

zena4 - It's not a novel, that's probably why it's so expensive (Léon Chestov-Sur les confins de la vie. Apothéose du dépaysement) - I've already read the book and wanted to check some things in the original version, but I'm hesitant to pay so much money for a second copy of a book I already have.

Ah ok. No worry. I didn't know you were searching a particular book.
