Fan Voting Page

I voted for
Kate Bush - Tickled she has finally been nominated. Great unique voice, incredible "deep" lyrics, great at numerous styles, video pioneer
Depeche Mode - EDM pioneers and truly a voice for the outcasts in the 80's
MC5 - Punk pioneers
Judas Priest - Helped bring metal into the 80's
The Cars - Broke New Wave in America

Only get 5 votes but if I got a 6th I would have voted for The Eurythmics as key figures in the Second British Invasion
I would be more inclined to vote for Chaka Khan as a solo artist then Rufus.

I'm not voting but I think these will be inducted:

Bon Jovi
Judas Priest
Moody Blues
Rage Against the Machine (they generally have a token recent act)
Rufus feat. Chaka Khan

MBs in particular I'm surprised have yet to be inducted.

Chaka Khan maybe as a solo artist, but Rufus (as The American Breed) were pretty much one hit wonders before becoming her backing band.

I do, however, feel the RNRHOF to overlook some very influential artists who aren't well known (the MC5, Sister Rosetta Tharpe and Link Wray are cited as inspirations by countless artists but probably won't get in because Joe Average hasn't heard of them).

If I had my way, T. Rex would be in. But because they never reached any higher than No. 10 in America it won't happen. You know, in spite of Marc Bolan practically inventing glam rock on a whim before a Top of the Pops appearance?

Have you read "Shock and Awe: Glam Rock and Its Legacy, from the Seventies to the Twenty-first Century" by Simon Reynolds?

They are not eligible. The act has to have started at least 25 years ago.
