I am. They're #2 on my list and I like the music that they recorded between 1963 and 1966. John Lennon is my favourite Beatle. My favourite song that they recorded is I Feel Fine. :)

2nd to the The Kinks? LOL
At first I thought your avatar was of the Beatles I didn't realize right away that is was the Kinks. Still it looks cool. I wish I had a time machine like the Tardis so I could experience the awesomeness of the 60s.

Have been since I was about 10 (I'm 40 now). Been to many conventions as well. Sites to check out:

The Fest for Beatles Fans - I've been to the Chicago one many times. My favorite part is just sitting with people in the lobby and singing.

Abbey Road on the River - As a Louisville resident, I truly enjoy this festival too.

In terms of quality per album, possibly the greatest band ever.

i remember when they broke up, i was in the 3rd grade and bummed about both. it was depressing as all get out, like a bit of the 60s hopeful vibe died.

I am a big fan of the Beatles, as is my husband. I have tried playing guitar right handed and thought that because I was a leftie that I would never be able to play a guitar. Then I noticed that left handed instruments are available and that Paul McCartney, who I consider one of the most talented contemporary musicians, played left handed.
My favorite Beatles are Paul and George, but I think that John had the most fascinating life.

I love all there songs and i specially liked the Yellow Submarine. I am trying to get kids become a fan of their songs and its so amazing to see that they too love these songs. They are so catchy and amazing. The 60s and 90s were the best era for music.

It's 50/50 for me. I absolutely love half their songs, then they went through that stage/phase... I dislike.

i wonder if paul hadn't been high as a kite while walking his dog martha atop primrose hill that day, if "a fool on the hill" would ever have been written?

as a public service to all the good beatles-loving WPers as well as the rest, below is a neat story about the origins of the beatles tune "fool on the hill"-

it turns out that the song "fool on the hill" has an "etymology" that is quite complex, but is rooted in a weird paranormal incident when paul was walking his dog [named martha] atop primrose hill overlooking london, and as he watched the sunrise, he noticed martha went missing. paul looked around for her when he encountered a strange man wearing a belted raincoat- the two exchanged pleasantries about the sublime view of the city atop the hill, then paul turned away from the man for an instant, and when he looked back the man was gone, which was strange because the nearest trees were hundreds of feet away and the man could not have run that far that fast. then again, since paul was at that time a heavy user of mind-altering weed, it could just have been that his perceptions were up in smoke.

so that is one part of the fool on the hill, the original impetus for lennon/mccartney to write it down on paper. the other part of the fool has to do with george and his veneration of the maharishi, "head in a cloud, the man of a thousand voices talking perfectly loud" [IOW the hindu religion has been referred as being made up "of thousands of gods/voices"]- and when george tried to get paul and john to share his interest, he was met with indifference ["but nobody ever hears him, or the sound he appears to make, and he never seems to notice..."], IOW john and paul weren't listening. so i am gathering that the maharishi was indeed a major part of the subject of "the fool on the hill." :)
