(It's not finished yet but.... yeah. It's dealing with some personal issues.)

Mom called me the other day
Told me the words you wouldn't say
She told me you're leaving
And you won't be back again.

At first, I didn't believe her
At first, I asked why
She told me that you did it to yourself
That's when I started to cry.

I fell to my knees
And begged her, "Please..."
"Please, tell me why..."
Why did you die?
I don't know why
And it's killing me

You never were one to fade away
You'd rather burn out than stay
I wish that you could have told me
I wish that trust was there
Now I'm left here thinking
Did you ever f***ing care?

I thought we had time to laugh
I thought we had time to cry
I never thought I would miss you
Because I never knew you would die.

(That's as far as I've gotten so far.)

Great, but where's the instrumentation? Or is it vocals only?

But, you are doing a good job so far. :D I can imagine the song heavy on piano and bass.

I'm just the songwriter heh. I'm writing it for one of my friends, who is fairly good on guitar. I expect he'll write some music for it, probably gonna be an acoustic song.

Yeah an acoustic would definitely work.
