Does anyone else read this science magazine? It's very interesting and I am a subscriber to it. In fact, in the Autumn 2006 issue, one of my questions in Q&A got published in the magazine!

Does anyone else like this magazine? It has a wide range of topics such as computers, maths, science, geography and technology. The latest issue is very interesting, it talks about how history could have ended up, such as "What if the moon never formed?" or "What if Hitler won WWII?"

Es gibt wechselndere Situationen. :D
Just joking :D
There's also scenarios like "What if the dinosaurs didn't become extinct, and "What if the Cuban missile crisis blew up?".

Do you actually read the magazine?

Depending on the assumptions it was almost impossible, or hinged on a few key events that could have gone differently. An interesting source of discussion on the contingency of history.

There are lots of alternative time-line stories around:

You might like Harry Turtledoves "worldwar" series:
What if, in the middle ow WW2, lizards from outer space turned up to invade...

(two series of 4 volumes now. Fun SF, with some interesting historical and political points)
