At the moment I am ludicrously into Nickelback and almost every time I listen to Spotify, I listen to at least one song by them. No, I am not listening to a song by them, but I'm listening to Thornley, which I guess is vaguely similar to Nickelback.

And also, I keep trying to find who I'll get into as much/more into than Nickelback, but so far I haven't found the band. Could avid fans of Nickelback please recommend me similar artists who I might also like. Here is a list of artists who I have already tried slightly similar to Nickelback and enjoyed/didn't like so much:

Alice in Chains - Love 'em.
Creed - Like 'em a lot.
Led Zeppelin - Absolutely ove 'em.
Triumph - Like some of theirs.
Metallica - Like 'em.
Soundgarden - Love 'em.
Rush - Love 'em.
Van Halen - Pretty good.
Pearl Jam - Pretty good.
Nirvana - Not so keen on.
Limp Bizkit - Not interested.
Shinedown - Really like 'em.
Bon Jovi - Absolutely love 'em.
GreenDay- Love 'em.
Pantera - Love 'em.

I don't really see how some of those are similar to Nickelback, which sing a few songs I like, but I'm not familiar with other bands with a similar style.

Here are some other suggestions thought, which might not always have that same hard, epic sound as the other bands but you still might like them.
The Eels: "Novacain"
Butthole Surfers: "Pepper"
Bush: "Swallowed", "Machinehead" and "Glycerine"
The Refreshments: "Banditos", it sounds similar to Green Day
Brian Adams: "Summer of 69" and other songs.

You might like Guns N Roses. It seems like you are into early 80's rock/metal and mid to late 90's genres.

Hi Chronos,
I have listened to some Guns N Roses, including "Sweet Child of Mine" "Paradise City" "Welcome to the Jungle" and "Night Train." I enjoy listening them, but I can't really quite get into them as much as Nickelback. I've heard "Summer of 69" and really like it, I'll try some others by Bryan Adams soon. Thank you for your other recommendations, I'll give them a go tomorrow, but YAWN, I need to go to bed now. I'll report in about 24 hours or so to say what I think of the Eels, Butthole Surfers (interesting band name), Bush (Hope it's not the past President lol) and The Refreshments (Mmm food and drink...) :D

I'm going to be completely honest, I can't believe you're a Nickelback fan after reading the list of other great bands you also like. I see no similarity between Nickelback and any of those bands asides the fact that they are all famous. The only thing similar about Nickelback is all of their songs sounding similar due to a cookie-cutter formula of song writing. The Canadian government needs to apologize to the people of the world and provide Canadians with a $4000 grievance check for the exercises of auditory torture we have inadvertently encouraged by giving Nickelback air time.
 Hope my reply doesn't make you mad, I'm mostly being superfluous. I should add that I am a fan of Nickelback's band members efforts in philanthropy and how they also produce other bands they discover
Actually that reminds me, of a band that is similar to Nickelback that you would probably like. I recommend you look into 'Theory of A Deadman', another Canadian band that Nickelback actually discovered and produced

Hi Vigilans,
Lol I'm not going to mad as you put it at your reply, I used to hate Nickelback if I was younger (though not for the financial reasons you put). As to the bands I mentioned being similar, they're similar in the way that they're Related Artists to Nickelback on Spotify. I'll be listening to the bands similar to Nickelback now and remember that the ones I mentioned are only similar to Nickelback in that they're rock bands or the like. Thank you.

I think they make a lot of money using Garageband.

Hi Chronos, I've just listened to all the songs you recommended. I enjoyed all of them except for "Novacain," which I thought was only OK. I've got into Bush quite a lot now as well, I enjoyed their style the most out of the ones I listened to. Thanks again for your recommendations! :D

They use garageband to make their songs. Not actual skill, just garageband.

Yep, I guessed that's what you meant by it. Very funny....

Thanks for telling me about "Theory of a Deadman", I'm enjoying their music, but not quite as much as Nickelback yet. :)

Really? 8O Do you have proof? I'd be intrigued to find what methods of Garageband they used to create their songs.

Sorry, but I absolutely HATE Nickelback. Stylistically they're playing Corporate Grunge music, which was the Next Big Thing that the Record Companies moved onto/coopted after they mined the LA Sunset Strip Metal scene dry. One of the few Seattle bands that actually stayed true to their roots was Mudhoney, who are still a much better band than Nickelback will ever be.
