'Modern Classical' fans?
So there's already a classical music thread, but using definitions for classical music, their cut-off date lies in the 1800s, which is just shy of musicians producing 'modern classical' today.
So here instead is a thread for the modern classical music, which can itself fall into a huge list of genres:
Neo-Classical, Post-Rock, Trip Hop, Breakbeat, Neo-Folk, Electronic, Ambient etc. etc. etc.
I'll kick it off, but I'd love to see what other people enjoy in this huge genre.

Jacaszek - Elegia
Might as well go for the trifecta, I <3 Poland. Got this album on vinyl in the mail a couple days ago, been too scared to break the plastic!

Clint Mansell - The Last Man
In my humble opinion off the greatest soundtrack ever made - The Fountain OST.

Zoë Keating - Exurgency
The Cello is an incredible instrument, as deftly displayed here.

Jóhann Jóhannsson - The Rocket Builder
Back to Iceland (<3), simply cannot skip Jóhann Jóhannsson, such incredibly stunning music.
I could go on for hours with more music, but I'd love to hear what others think/enjoy in this massive spectrum of a genre.
I don't know if movie soundtracks/composers count, but I've become obsessed with Hans Zimmer's work lately. And here's a clip from the intro to one of Dimmu Borgir's albums "Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia" called Fear and Wonder.
