Probably the song that best fits me is Tom Petty's hit song "You Don't Know How It Feels". I am a huge fan of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and this particular song best describes me. I often feel ignored and misunderstood and the song touches on that. I'm not surprised that he received an MTV Video Music Award for Best Male Video and a Grammy for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance for this song. Most Americans really don't know how it feels to be us Aspies.

I'm Not Like Everybody Else by The Kinks.

I'm not like everybody else, nor do I want to be like everybody else. 8)

"Unwell" by Matchbox 20. I first heard this song when I was 12, and I still haven't found a song that describes me better than this. I relate to it so well that it makes me cry sometimes.

"Human" - The Pretenders

I'm only human on the inside

I enjoy a rich sound that has depth and an emotional chord progression that can serve as a soundtrack of my life. Best with good speakers or headphones that can handle bass. I don't know what my interest in this kind of music says about me though...

Boris The Spider by The Who.

But seriously, The Wild Hunt by The Tallest Man On Earth is pretty "me".

This song reminds me of what my childhood was like. The first few years of my life were very frightening being introduced to the world, but for the most part the song really captures the playful and curious spirit I had at a young age.

As I grew older, I started to realize that I really did have my whole life in front of me. I became interested in science and technology, and nothing captures that better than the star trek theme song. I wanted nothing more than to go boldly go where no man has gone before, and I believed I would someday do that.

Entering my preteen years, I discovered that the world wasn't exactly the great place I thought it was. But I began to accept reality and deal with it. This music is the closest I can find to how I was feeling at that time.

Eventually things started looking up for me. I began to stop caring, and do whatever the f I wanted. During my late preteen and early teen years, "Survival and Rebellion" is exactly how I lived.

Not too long after that, I started to realize that I was digging myself into a hole. My grades started slipping, and as a result I became much more anxious and depressed. I began to think I was worthless, I felt that I wasn't good for anything, and overall I hated myself. My life seemed meaningless for the most part. Had I of died in some freak accident at the time, I wouldn't have cared. I thought nobody cared about me. It seemed as if the whole world was going to hell.

But I managed to pull myself together. It wasn't easy, but at the same time it was an accomplishment - in many ways. I look back on this time of my life, between freshman and sophomore years in high school, in a positive way.

Since then, I have been able to make peace with myself. I have been keeping my life within balance, and I have started to rediscover and embrace my true self as an aspergian.

I have no idea what the future holds, but I like to believe that the next stages of my life will be as epic as this.

A lot of songs could fit me, but this one is the closest. It fits a lot of people, though, so IDK what that says about me.
