Just thought I'd get a topic started on suggested reading for Aspies. This is to recommend fun fiction books.

1. "Aaron Tucker" mysteries (3 so far) -- Jeffrey Cohen, www.aarontucker.com

Set in New Jersey.

Fun reading, written in first-person. Aaron is a writer for newspapers and magazines, when he can find someone to pay him for a story. Aaron and his wife Abby have 2 kids: Ethan -- an 11y/o Aspie(!), and Leah -- 7. The 3rd mystery, As Dog is My Witness involves a suspected 22-y/o Aspie.

2. The Civil Wars of Jonah Moran -- novel by Marjorie Reynolds.

Set in the Pacific Northwest -- the Olympian peninsula of Washington.

Jessie's brother Jonah is, well...different. Jess doesn't understand until years later that he has Asperger's, and what that means. Now in her 30s, Jess has returned home from California and started her own window-washing business. A halfway-house for ex-cons burns down, and Jonah is quickly pegged as the prime suspect. How will Jess prove he's innocent? Find out!

NOTE: A review by Publisher's Weekly inappropriately refers to AS as a "disease like autism"!
