Who uses Youtube just as a music player?

I couldn't tell you anything about most of the videos on my playlist. YT merely sits in the background on shuffle whilst I do other things. I've often seen it get used this way at parties. Does anyone else do this and am I better off using something like last FM or Spotify?

I have before in the past. I also use it to listen to gaming music and to watch people play their video games I like. I have used it as a TV too.

I voted "sometimes", but "a lot of times" should be more pertinent.

Mostly. I don't really have the patience to watch anything. Reading is faster.

You mean... youtube is for other things besides music?

A good chunk of my Youtube viewing is of music. I use Youtube for other things, too, such as watching people play video games, watching movie/t.v. clips, Youtube Poop, watching old commercials and bumpers from certain t.v. channels, and I might sometimes watch a full-length movie.

The vast amount of my youtube use consists of samples of music I want to find through other means. It's the greatest thing to happen to music awareness since radio. Compared to it now, radio is as significant as a (insert racially insensitive stereotype here).

As a playlist service, however, it leaves much to be desired. I still use itunes for this simply because of the easy to use interface and it gives me the most amount of info for screen real estate.
