I had no idea such a thing was even physically possible and I fear if I listened to it the universe would implode

Because of some stupid spam prevention s**t I can't post a link (even though I had 500+ posts here before, until I decided to get my account blocked), but Fenriz was in a Folk-Metal band called Storm. They were f*****g brilliant.

I dont know why he is beating up on you either.

I never heard of "Folk Metal" either.

Not sure what the label means.

In my day ( in the 20th centurey) there were some great metal covers of tradtional folk songs ("Gallows Pole" by Led Zeppilin, "Whiskey in the Jar" by Thin Lizzy - and latter by Metallica) and of Delta blues ( "When the Levee Breaks" by Zeppilin, "Smoke Stack Lightning" by the Yardbirds) comes to mind.

But this is the first time ive heard of "folk metal" spoken of as a genre unto itsself..

Folk Metal is awesome, it's also good drinking music.
