Aspie success stories on talent shows such as the X factor

Here in Australia the final 12 for the X factor this week have been chosen, the over 25’s, the girls, the groups and of course the “boys” with 3 in each respective group and amongst the three boys is Declan Sykes who has been diagnosed with Aspergers as a child .

I hope he does well but being in the final 12 is an amazing achievement

I don't usually watch shows like this (basically, I think they suck). But I did see this guy once maybe last week. I didn't notice anything wrong with him except for the colour of his hair.

I think there is something quirky and different about the colour of his hair especially with his glasses, such a striking contrast, but I hope he does not go off the rails too soon because the worst bullies I could imagine are those much despised judges, not so much of a physical level (no breaking of ribs or anything like that he experienced in the schoolyard) but on an emotional level they are as nasty as you can get. I don't think his singing as the best in the competition, but it is nice to see him really have the courage to give it a crack.
