Having joined recently, I would like to interest you in my book The Madhouse of Love.

The Madhouse of Love, which I wrote at the age of 17, is based on my experiences in an adolescent psychiatric unit in my early teens.

The following made me think that I might have had Aspereger's syndrome:

At the age of 12, I was clever at Maths and at Music and would prefer to spend my evenings alone in a dark room listening to Pink Floyd rather than going out with other kids to play football.

This, along with my fascination with astronomy, was considered to be part of my illness.

I was kept in hospital for two and a half years and thought that I was never going to be let out.

I thought that there was nothing wrong with me but, when I told the staff that, they would keep saying that they would keep me there longer if I said that.

At the time that I entered the hospital, I was quite happy but became more and more depressed the longer I was kept there.

The Madhouse of Love, which was published by the leading mental health publisher Chipmunkapublishing last year, tells the full story.

Hmm, how very interesting! I'm a 25 year old autistic writer (you may recognize me from the homepage here) currently writing my first book for a publisher. I spent a great deal of time in mental health wards myself. Strange experiences.
