This only makes sense since most good stuff that does get published, unless it's from already well-known authors, is rejected a lot before it finally gets a deal. Harry Potter is the most famous example of this, and I'm sure there are quite a few publishers kicking themselves for rejecting that :P

This kind of thing will only get more common as e-readers become more commonplace, too. Much like what YouTube did for music artists, ebooks will make it a lot easier for new talent to get their stuff out there.
