Here's the third installment, #3 of 4, of my space music experiments. I'm trying to tone things down a little bit, and personally I think I'm a little closer to what I'm really going for with this one.

I decided to organize the images thematically in this one. These images aren't as bright as the ones I normally use, and a few of them are related to the effects of dark matter on light, such as with gravitational lensing. I used a variety of sounds in this one, such as a sample of my daughter, samples of a coffee cup, and some Synclavier FM synth sounds manipulated in Absynth using granular synthesis and sampled back onto the Synclav. There are also some granular sounds created with Absynth and sampled to the Synclav, which is worth noting since Absynth and Synclav handle additive synthesis and FM quite differently.

I'll have #4 in probably 2 or 3 months since I've just finished work on a pretty big project and need a little time to get a new sense of direction. It makes me kinda sad that I only have enough material for one more piece. This has really been fun for me! Here ya go:
