About 58GB of music here...

What type of music makes up the bulk of your collection?

For me, it's all sorts of jazz, fusion, psy rock, folk (and folk rock type stuff), decent amount of classical, and a bunch of other assorted stuff.

Fluctuating. Every so many yars, I get rid of a great chunk of my physical music collection, and start collecting all over again in a different direction.

Currently, a disproportional amount of my CD collection is Indonesian pop music. That's western style bands and artists: R&B, rock...

I also have a lot of 80s pop, mostly 'Best Ofs' by my favourite artists, and a bunch of urban albums (Ginuwine, TLC, Nivea, etc.).
Last album I bought was a Culture Club double package containing 'Kissing To Be Clever' and 'Colour By Numbers' to add to my '80s music catalogue.

Not sure on an exact number but somewhere between 250gb-500gb. Could be more lol. I have so many mp3 players, so much music on my phone and I had loads on my iPod before it smashed. My laptop is always full of music as is my xbox. I own over 100 CD's and that's constantly building up, it's hard to have an exact number without counting and keeping track of them all.

I love pretty much all kinds of music but especially love punk/rock. I love listening to Aussie rock bands. I'll listen to things like Hannah Montana songs then listen to something by Black Sabbath. I love my music :D

5159 songs total. A mixture of pop, rock, folk, alternative and electronica.

According to my iTunes I have 7029 songs, that would take 18.6 days to play and is 45.65GB big. So I guess you can say I have a large music collection. I like everything it seems like, metal, punk, indie, rap, techno. Endless subgenres, though I do need to clean out my music collection somewhat. I got a lot of music I don't really listen to anymore.

30 gigs or so of mp3s, then about 100-150 records I've bought myself (not counting records from my parents' collection.)

As far as my downloaded music, most is Japanese pop, eurodance, eurobeat, or just in general pop music, but just from places not America usually. For my vinyl, it's a pretty mixed bag, lots of classic rock, but I can find old freestyle music on vinyl for dirt cheap, so I've gotten into the habit of buying that sort of stuff. I also have about 50 old 78 RPM records of swing, jazz, etc.

19737 items, 58.7 days, 120.28GB. But I kind of hoard music. For example, I have the Gummy Bear song (the one that came out a few years ago) in three different languages, just for funsies.

Over 200 CD albums, which makes up the majority of my PC's music folder. Most of that is in .flac or high bitrate mp3, which amounts to 150GB...I really need to spring-clean my hard drive of music I never listen to though.

My iPod has 562 tracks on it, a lot of them are lossless tracks and mixes, I got a couple self-created mixes that are almost 14 hours in length, gotta love foobar2000 for that. In it's total it's about 30GB big.

My iPod currently has 10,234 tracks in it. I have around 2,000 CDs which I have obsessivly collected for years. I don't have any idea how many GB that is and could care less.
I am very passionate about my music and would have probably killed myself without it.I have never thrown any of my music away.
The genres of music that I have most in my collection are punk, folk and Indie but I have many other genres in there as well.I have very little classical, thecno and instrumental.I care much more about the lyrics than the music.
I would describe most of my music as poetry with background music.

being that the OP put it in terms of GB, i'd say i have something like [uncompressed] a terabyte's worth of music in digital form, and another 3 terabyte's worth in assorted phonograph records [33&1/3-45/78 rpm 7" -10" & 12" discs] and reel tapes and cassettes both analog and digital. i have [in compressed form] 7.2 GB on one MP3 player, and 14GB on another. it is a minor obsession of mine.
