I am probably crazy for doing this, but...

...I am going to try theater classes starting this Saturday. Since I am already some kind of real life cartoon character, I think it would probably be interesting to try.

On the other hand, I am also an asocial weirdo, which means my cartoonish antics tend to fall on the sociopathic end of the spectrum. Kind of like Marvel Comics' Deadpool.

Anyway, the first lesson is for free, so I am just going to try it. Mostly out of curiosity, even though I expect it to go really bad.

At least you won't be disappointed.

That's cool. Good for you for stepping outside your comfort zone and trying something new. It's not always easy to do. I've heard from other people who've tried acting lessons that it actually helped them to become more aware of their facial expressions and body language, so if those are areas where you have problems that might be an added benefit to trying it out.

I took acting classes, and I believe they've helped me deal more effectively with NTs.

i grew up with 5-6 weeks of acting classes a year,
later i went to an art school where i received some more formal acting classes.

as fnord and blueroses suggest it does seem to help with interaction, it also brings you into a new atmosphere where the focus isnt the social aspects in themselves, yet they are at the center of everything you do(the acting), it allowed me to enjoy the social spects in a way i cant seem to do in the workplace for an example.

Even though I am doing it primarily for entertainment, I must admit that helping me with non-verbal skills would be a very appealing bonus. Let's see how it turns out.

Theater is fun. I did stage acting in high school and was pretty good at it, mostly because I have this weird natural knack for mimicry. Who knows, maybe you'll really like it!

I've done acting. It helped me in many ways. Used to want to be an actress.
