sorry if you got confused by my title but, basically what i'm asking is if being artsy, whether i'm into writing, doing art or creating music, even though it can't always pay the bills, can test out if there is a job out there relative to something in being good with my imagination, my sense of poetic or literate savvy or being good with writing music and playing whatever instrument i could be devoted to (personally i'm a fine artist with bits of those other areas but i'm wondering if i'm capable at eventually branching out into a bit of a more technical job still relevant to my personal hobby a little easier).
thanks
CL

You'll never know unless you try.

One of the best ways of continuing to do what you love is to teach it to others. Become a music teacher, you'll constantly learn about music and delight your students. :)

Something like advertising, promotion, or web design would use your writing & art skills (maybe even your music).

I agree with ictus.

Art jobs that combine a fine art talent with graphic design can pay the bills....and web design especially, it seems like there are always jobs for artists who know web design (I wish I did).

I just want a job so I can afford a laptop and Pro Tools. After that, I'll need to save up to move out. During that time, I'll build my portfolio and get involved in any indie video games being made. Nobuo Uematsu was already in his mid-thirties when the first Final Fantasy came out, so I believe it's not too late for me. :D
