MAX (the j-pop group)
So I'm pretty happy, as I found 3 MAX albums online last night, and since I heard MAX on Super Eurobeat I was like "omigod they're the coolest ever!111" The first song I heard was "Give Me a Shake" and I've been hooked since then. But, when I first heard it was probably 2008, so back then, less was uploaded online, and I didn't get to hear too much of them. But now, someone's uploaded most of their albums. I actually own a real CD of them, a Greatest Hits CD, I think now I'm gonna snatch up a few of the singles off ebay, as they're quite cheap, and the "Give Me a Shake" single has their only version of "Kiss to Kiss" as it never made it to an album.
Anyway, MAX is just a Japanese girl group, not the pinnacle of artistic coolness, but they're great really. I'm kinda assuming not too many people here know about MAX, but if you're a MAX fan also, please post. Just, all the MAX fansites and whatnot I found were dead geocities sites from 1997, so that's kinda sad to me. Sad in general that not too many people are big into the 80s and 90s jpop thing in general, as to me that's my favorite time in j-pop, and yeah.
Anyway, MAX!

I rather like them, Knives. Their Wikipedia article says they played a significant role in changing the image of Japanese girl groups. I hadn't heard of them prior to your posting this thread.
Sorry, I'm not too familiar with J-Pop pre-2000. The only ones I know are probably Chara, Dragon Ash, and a contemporary act of MAX called DOUBLE.
