I have always thought that the artist Lil Wayne is a genius. Just my opinion anyway. Take this song, and replace the word "ni***r" with "aspie" and thats how I feel personally. Does this resonate with anyone else? does anyone else here like Lil Wayne?

Nah, I don't like Lil Wayne at all really. Maybe personally he's a cool guy, in some ways he seems to be (ie, after Katrina, he built some parks and stuff with his own money) but I can't say I think highly of his music. And that song seems to be just some rap song about hating the world.

I don't know, I grew out of my "I hate the world" phase, I guess. I can't go to another planet, so it's best just to try to form things and pick things out that make your existence as pleasant as possible, find peace if you would. Unfortunately, I don't find that I can change the world in a revolutionary way, as people just don't care really. You can't make people smarter, you can only give them information, and after that your responsibility is done. So with that in mind, I don't know, as much as I'd like to improve the world as a whole, if people don't want your ideas, there's nothing you can do but retreat.

But yeah, I just find it hard to be angry at "the world" as it's kinda big, I doubt every country will personally piss me off in my lifetime, so yeah. Maybe that's me taking things too literally, in general Aspie fashion, haha. For me, too, even just moving to another town a half hour away from my old town where I had lots of trouble in my life helped loads , I plan to move out of state when I get a chance to, and do some international travelling. Maybe after that, I can have ample evidence be angry at "the world" but meh.

I got no idea why I wrote all that about some silly Lil Wayne song, but hey. I hate rap music now, as it just reminds me of how terrible everything is. I prefer to just listen to techno and pop music now, as it makes me happy, instead of angry or sad. But, I had my "phase" of angry rap music too.

well, lol, thank you for your reply! I love the way he thinks as I see it in his lyrics, but I would never judge anyone depending on whether they do or don't like him. Different people resonate with different types of music. Btw, I love techno!

I personally think he is absolutely terrible....and the autotune thing or whatever he uses to make his voice sound like a robot or whatever does not make him sound any better.

but that's just me.....anyone else is free to enjoy such things if they actually find it tolerable.

I like Lil Wayne. He worked with some of my favorite singers including Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, Enrique Iglesias, Wyclef Jean and Romeo Santos of the Bachata Band 'Aventura'.

Not really a fan of Lil Wanye but I like the fact that dude made a rock album despite the fact that hes a Hip Hop Artist.

I'm a big fan of Hip Hop, nice to see artist from that genre expend their musical talents.

I'm liking the same thing drake is doing with meshing up the singing and rapping.

This song is pretty cool, I prefer "No love" over this song though (Wanye and Em collaborated on that song as well).

My favorite song from him is Mr Carter ft Jay Z, but TBH I haven't really listened to his catalog like that.

Favorite line from that song is... "I parallel park, in that red n yellow thing old school Atlanta Hawk!".

I like Lil Wayne... I've always loved him from his cash money days. He seems to have lowered his standards a bit for that song though, just like when your exploring a progressive tune, it is supposed to "shift" or "clarify" your perspective in some way, and Lil wayne usually does that for me with his lyrics (and a few other rappers). Not so much with this song.
