does anyone here like any metal, i.e. Entombed, Black Sabbath, Corrosion of Conformity, Slayer, Death, Veil of Maya, etc?
What about hardcore, i.e. Trapped Under Ice, Backtrack, Alpha and Omega, This is Hell, Black Flag, The Neighbors, Trap Them, Hatebreed?

Would love to talk with other aspies about this! Discuss.

Also, will be posting a video of riffs I've been working on here soon.

Solid man, figured you liked Sabbath anyways lol. The new Skeletonwitch was kick ass too, I'm yet to check out the new Orange Goblin but have heard positive things about it so I may have to check it out

I did not know they had an album coming out...but that's cool, I think it would be cool to see them in concert.

Yeah definitely. I hardly get to go to shows but when I do, I usually try to go to fests so I can get to see more at once..

*deep breath*

Yes, I like metal. Been getting into the hardcore stuff lately, though previously it tended to bore me.

*raises hand*

In to a fair bit of various metal genres. Recently I've been listening to a lot of Behemoth, Lamb of God, Hate Eternal, Hour of Penance (Paradogma just... kicks ass.), along with a few others. I play in a metal band that is a hodgepodge of everything pretty much.

ive listened to metal on/off since the mid 90s and almost all of it ive lost interest in, the only bands/eras that really do it for me anymore tend to have just right (imo) blend of technicality and quality composition. recently ive only been listening to Kreators 87-90 period. German speed/thrash with hardcore influences.

Not really a huge fan of either genre.

I like some 80s metal, I do like Ozzy and Black Sabbath a bit, but more along the lines of Motley Crue, Bon Jovi, GnR, etc.

That said, my favorite metal genre by far has to be power metal. Power metal is the best. The lead singer for Rhapsody of Fire actually sings in my favorite genre, eurobeat, actually. His eurobeat songs sound kinda power metally, it's great. But power metal gets me like, amped. It's sweet. Most other metal gets me sad or angry, but power metal just gets me pumped and makes me happy. I like that power metal isn't about like, real life, real life sucks. That said, it is a bit hard to get into some of the "fantasy" themes of power metal, as it all takes place in like, the Tolkien sorta kinda world of whatever, and I never got into that sort of thing. But it's great music nonetheless, that should have more recognition.

Would love to talk with other aspies about this! Discuss.

Also, will be posting a video of riffs I've been working on here soon.

Out of the bands you listed I like Corrosion of Conformity, Slayer and Hatebreed.

I made a thread about hardcore punk a while ago, but it didn't get many replies unfortunately.

I like some metal, not so much hardcore. Most of the metal I listen to is the poppy european normal vocals stuff, but I like some other metal bands.
Decrepit berth, necrophagist, finntroll, ensiferum, not alot of 80s though.
