No idea. I took a fenix as an avatar since it's a symbol of overcoming problems and start again from ashes, as many times as necesary.

OK. The firebird has a different kind of story. But the images used are similar and just as striking.

Yeap, well, you're right. It's not exactly a fenix but a firebird... but there's not many nice fenix images on internet, so I took this one. I swap it with the other one I use, here (which is really a fenix, not a firebird).

I don't know what you like though

Mainly instrumental music and all kind of folk. My all-time favourite is Mike Olfield, though I like other composers as Tiersen, or Rodrigo Leao. It's not that easy to find good instrumental composers out of orchestral soundtracks.

I don't know of that many composers (not even the famous ones) even though I mostly listen to instrumentals so I'll look those up. Though I think of "composers" as something else than the "bands" or "producers" I listen to so maybe it's a semantic thing and I know of lots of composers?

You should or you're missing out. Their songs often take a long time to really start, and they use sudden shifts of tempo a lot. Just a word of warning

Oldfield is amazing. All his albums until Five Miles Out, in the 82, were masterpieces. After that, well, he had his moments.

I love that, I'm going to be busy listening trough so much now thanks to you! My father especially likes that kind of music, but I don't know of that many artists in that genre (or whatever the genre even is) so would appreciate some advice so I can show it to him (mail me a list of names or something).

I like Hammocks album "Departure songs" the best, but they're all good.

With regard to celtic music.

Gwendal es a classic, but they only had three or four good albums (the first ones). Quite a coincidence, it happens as with Oldfield, the early 70s albums are the good ones.

In general, the best celtic groups are the irish ones. Specially from the 90s-00s, They're literally hundreds of them, quite difficult to choose. They're famous ones as Altan, Solas, Capercaillie, and so, but it's likely that all of them will sound kind of similar to you, so, instead of doing a list, I think is better to give some different ideas:

# For a 'standard' popular celtic group, I would suggest Altan.

# For the typical quick flute melodies celtic sound, Flook.
