the prozac nation
any of you guys ever read "prozac nation"?
ive just read it and i have very mixed opien of it, i thought it was wonderfully written and informative but i think the writer herself was very aggogant and her attitude kind of spolit it a bit for me- her constant digs about "those happy pill poppers with thier low level sorrow" in the epilouge and constant need to remind everyone no one could ever possibly feel as bad as she does , really really anoyed me.
still i enjoyed it despite everything and cant wait to read "more ,now agian" And "b***h" too
Did anyone you ever read it? what did you think?
<3 xx

love you always my beautiful boy xxxx
I thought that she kept on harping on and on, being very self centred in the book.
I read the book at a time in my life before I worked out that I had AS, I was woundering if I was just depressed, I had heard that prozac was some wounder drug. I have never taken it but I know that it is far from being the perfect drug, I also wounder if the serotonin hypothesis about depression is right because some people stay depressed even when they are taking drugs which raise the serotonin level in the brain.

Diagnosed under the DSM5 rules with autism spectrum disorder, under DSM4 psychologist said would have been AS (299.80) but I suspect that I am somewhere between 299.80 and 299.00 (Autism) under DSM4.
