I have recently gotten much more into drawing and have these influences: architecture, fantasy, sci-fi, fractals and other patterns, landscapes, animals and nature, video games, Warhammer 40,000, comics, sketches, and album artwork/band logos.

This will likely become a shorter list in time, but it is where I am developing a unique style from, combining all of these.

Is there any guidelines for compiling such a folder to get inspiration from? Also, how would I incorporate all of these interests?

My first guess is that just having some printed art that I love and return to would work, but perhaps you fine artists might have other ideas.

I have decided against this. It's better to challenge yourself to be creative. Makes the art more genuine anyways.

Consider joining Pinterest or heading over there right now to view a few of their pinup boards

http://pinterest.com/

It's much better to make an inspirational board online these days, and a pin-up board from something like pinterest, polyvoure (if you are into fashion) houzz if you are into home design, chime.in if you are into tweeting your interest and congregating with others who share that interest, or tumblr if you prefer gifs, pictures, photography, and music. You now no longer have to make a compromise, and I'm sure there's a creative way you can make it work with all of those interests by socially curating your own online portfolio. I'll give you a few examples of some I follow:

No rules so long as it is aesthetically solid and the interests gel with each other, or you have them on different boards by theme. Hope that helps.

Knowing that I will use my DeviantArt account then like I planned. Thank you for the insight.
